I'm using an RX 9070xt with a Ryzen 5 5600x. How can I minimize the bottleneck in the most cost-effective way? I mainly play R6 for multiplayer and mostly AAA games like Blackmythwokong. With a 1440p, 180hz monitor, which CPU would be best to choose?

I don't achieve high frame rates in Rainbow Six Siege
I'm seeing about 280fps, which is quite low. From my perspective, it should reach around 500fps at best.

Rainbow Six Siege is a multiplayer game, not a AAA title. I also have Last of Us Part 2 installed, and it runs smoothly at 180fps, which is impressive. However, my CPU stays at full capacity while playing, and my GPU usage is high—85 to 90% on high graphics settings. If I switch to very high in-game graphics, both my CPU and GPU usage drop to around 95% or more most of the time. I’m worried about whether this could affect my CPU over time if I keep playing without upgrading to a better processor like a 5800x3d.
I wouldn't anticipate it impacting CPU longevity. 280 at peak configurations seems reasonable. If you're using lower settings for smoother gameplay, then yes, the CPU might be limiting performance. A 5700x3d or 5800x3d, if affordable, would likely be the best choice.
