I've just installed the Ryzen 9 5950x and paired it with a GeForce 1660 Super CPU. I have 8GB of RAM at 2133MHz. Everything is running normally except for the MW3, which is causing significant stuttering and lag. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there,
Yes. The simple way to describe what your issue is, that your CPU is far more powerful than your GPU. The GPU is holding back the amount of FPS you can push.
The other major issue is the 8gb 2133mhz ram. You are literally hobbling your very good CPU.
You need at least a 2x 8gb 3600mhz CL14, or preferably 2 x 16gb kit ram to accompany your system.
Please list all of your pc specs.

MW games are well-known for their lack of optimization, particularly when they first launch.

The weakest part here is really the bottleneck. You need more memory and speed. Either 2 x 8 gb or 2 x 16 gb with CL16. That single upgrade will give you a massive improvement. Then consider the GPU next.

I intend to upgrade the ram tomorrow when available at my local Best Buy, and if not, I'll order online. Regarding the GPU, what advice would you have for after the ram upgrade?

You'll be using a high-resolution display. The CPU should match with a powerful GPU. A decent option should cost between 450 and 550 pounds.

Here are some suggestions:
- PCPartPicker Part List
- Video Card:
- ASRock Challenger Pro OC Radeon RX 6750 XT 12 GB Video Card (£355.19 @ Newegg UK)
- XFX Speedster QICK 319 Core Radeon RX 7800 XT 16 GB Video Card (£510.28 @ Amazon UK)
- Total: £865.47
- Prices cover shipping, taxes, and any available discounts
