It is not recommended because of stability, storage concerns, and update issues, though it might be feasible. Ideally, install it on your Mac as a partition like Bootcamp usually does. If you must, there are possible workarounds. Have you thought about virtualising it? You could likely attach the virtual drive to your main hard drive so the VM runs from it.

It's not feasible to purchase Windows 7 anymore legally. However, most office applications work smoothly on Windows 10. The system excels at backward compatibility.

Unless you locate a store or obtain a permit through an online platform, it's quite straightforward to purchase legally.

If you install Windows 10 for free, you still have access to most features and updates, though some premium services may be limited. The activation fee typically applies only to paid versions, so you can use the software without paying if you choose the free edition.

If you're missing the standard background and all personalization settings, simply choose "skip" or "later" when prompted for the serial key. This approach has been used by many over time—though I don't rely heavily on Windows.

It's definitely feasible, though it might not be feasible in practice. You could create a Windows installation media, set up BootCamp to run it, and then start it from a Mac.
