Question about linking a Hitachi/LG portable Blu-Ray/DVD writer.
Hi,
Yes and no were asked.
Yes since my primary OS is Windows 11 Home version 22H2.
Both laptops run Vmware; as a guest, I use Windows 10 22H2 and even Windows 7, but they don’t work with these drives.
No because the host OS remains Windows 11 while the guest uses Windows 10 and 7.
Because of the summer breaks, my access to other machines is restricted to just these two laptops.
However, I plan to link them to additional devices after the holidays when I can use more PCs.
Thanks
Where did you purchase those Blu-rays? Do you need assistance with that?
I'm trying to verify if they are authentic and not counterfeit.
It seems like you have six cables, and you've checked all of them, haven't you?
Would it be possible to visit a nearby service center and have them tested for you?
Also, I suspect the issue might be related to Vmware preventing them from functioning.
When linking these gadgets to your laptops, how many additional USB devices are connected concurrently? Despite earlier talks, this remains a power concern. Attaching an optical drive to a contemporary PC or laptop is quite straightforward, making this issue even more puzzling.
