I recently upgraded my motherboards
I have a DDR5 Corsair Vengeance 32GB with 6000 MHz when the computer starts it stays on code 55 with two RAM sticks installed, but when I remove one stick it boots up correctly. I checked my CPU cooler Corsair H150 Elite Capillary and found no issues; I tried other RAM and it also showed the same error code 55. It seems to be the same board again. I was upgrading from 12900K to 14700K. That’s the only change I made. Any suggestions?

did you modify the bios to the latest version? reset it afterward without turning on xmp. if it works, turn xmp back on. if an error occurs again, run memtest. examine the cpu socket pins on the motherboard for any bends or discoloration.

I've discovered the ram sockets with just one clamp on the right side can be challenging. Often I need to inspect carefully to confirm the dimm is properly seated on the left side of the socket. With my most recent project, it required a lot of extra force to ensure the dimm was fully positioned on the right side for the clamp to engage correctly. Therefore, I've been recommending that users use bright lighting and pay close attention to the dimm's placement to prevent code 55 issues.

How should I modify the bios when it won't boot? I removed the memory and reinserted it a few times, but I don't want to force it in after it starts up.

I just placed the memory in a1 plus a2 and it started up, but it doesn't remain active.

Can you access the BIOS? If not, you might try the flashback function on your motherboard. Disconnect CPU and RAM (eventually you won’t need to), just leave the PSU and motherboard with the unzipped BIOS file on a USB drive. Press the flashback button and wait until it restarts, then turn off the system and reinstall the CPU and RAM.

14700K might require a more recent BIOS to function correctly.
Check if you can reach the BIOS with just one stick and determine the current level.
If there are updates that seem important, use the BIOS tools to refresh them.
Swapping the motherboard will probably demand new drivers being installed.

I can enter the BIOS but it hasn't been updated, so I changed the BIOS yet it doesn't function properly even with two RAM sticks installed. I need to remove the CPU and inspect the pins for damage, but I tried the ASUS Z790 Maximus Hero Eva-02 Edition and it behaved the same. I looked up memory compatibility online and confirmed my memory matches the listed ones. So the issue is with the memory itself.

I encountered error code 55 during A2 and B2 attempts, though I verified memory compatibility on the website. After switching to A1 and A2 slots, the system started up successfully. I did not perform a memory test.
