Hey guys! I have admin access on my router and can put the modem in bridge mode to give my ASUS full control. But after finishing the setup, my IPTV doesn't work anymore. The notes are: my modem is connected with an ethernet cable going to the ASUS router. My IPTV box (which runs Android) gets its data from that same modem via an ethernet cable. I use AdGuard HOME as my private DNS server for things like this, but honestly it probably isn't important here. I can provide either WAN settings from my ISP or from the ASUS router if needed. Thanks in advance!

Get another access point or network switch. Keep your main router right next to the ISP modem and put your extra one where you need it. If you just want more LAN ports, buy a cheap $15 switch and stick it at the end of the cable. After you set your ISP modem to bridge mode, it won't give out IP addresses anymore. You get one address from the WAN port on the Asus router. From there, the Asus Router will do NAT and turn that single IP into many local ones.

Once you put the ISP modem in bridge mode it won't give out internet addresses for your TV. Your router will get one public IP address instead. You would need to move the IPTV settings to the LAN ports on the modem. That might mean doing some extra steps inside the modem setup.

I feared that thing. The big computer (ASUS) is sitting in another room, and a super long wire goes all the way from it to my internet provider. It's just too hard for me to reach there! Are there any tricks to fix this? No easy solutions exist.

Do you have problems when using two network routers at once?
