In reality, I don't believe we should just label it "Early Access." They've already sold more actual copies than most regular games on Steam have ever achieved. Calling it that feels like a weak cover story for two reasons: 1) It leaves the game without any features, and 2) It keeps it incomplete. The bottom line is, if you're prepared to file frivolous lawsuits, you're essentially saying the game is finished.

Creating a game requires effort, and sales don’t instantly accelerate the process. Even with a forecast of extra development, more sales won’t shorten the timeline. When I first received early access to Project Cars, it took three years to complete. If you’re not comfortable with that pace, consider skipping it or giving it a try.

Yeah: cry me a river. I won't be lenient with developers who opt to join the early access program for games nearly finished. That's simply not a valid reason for me.
