Thanks for the assistance, the PC is now ordered. The only changes from what I shared were swapping the air cooler for a water cooler and opting for a quieter model. I went with a be quiet! pure rock 2 CPU cooler, which I found to be one of the better options in its price range. My friend also wanted another SSD after my suggestions, so we chose the 1TB model mentioned earlier. The GPU stayed the same since it performed adequately in tests and my friend won't be playing the most demanding AAA games.

It's not worthwhile anymore, the next wave of Ryzens is just near, and the cost of the 7800x3d will likely decrease too.

Same here, I upgraded my PC back in January to a 7800X3D and I'm still using my 3060TI for now. I might upgrade to a 4070 Super or 7900GRE if I can get one at a reasonable price.

The sole reason I would purchase a 7800x3d is if I were acquiring the Microcenter bundle.
