For a higher performance boost, just increase the settings.

Would using a 5950x provide better performance?

It won't be worthwhile, though the cost isn't too high. At most I'd receive a 5800x, but it really varies based on the games you enjoy.

Review CPU benchmarks to assess whether the cost savings justify the upgrade.

You play games at a resolution higher than 8 cores. Generally, any system with more than that is not ideal for gaming, though you should be aware of this.

I enjoy playing many open-world titles such as Red Dead 2, Watch Dogs, Cod, and Battlefield. I’d like to experience Far Cry 6 and Battlefield 2044 smoothly at 1440p. Your videos are really helpful!

I run every game at the highest resolution available and enable ray tracing whenever it's supported.

You're right about how GPU load affects CPU usage. At higher resolutions like 1440p and above, the CPU's role becomes less critical, and benchmarks reflect this trend. Focus on per-core performance matters more—even a 5600x chip can beat a 3900x in games without needing a 16-core processor.
