Hi All, I'm experimenting some "white artifact" issues, or what ever they are called (not really an expert on that). The issue arise only when the adaptive sync is on and only on the desktop. Does someone have any idea of the cause? Motherboard / bios / gpu drivers are updated. Windows is a clean install. The spec of the pc is the following: - Asus TUF Wifi plus B650 - NZXT C850 Gold - AMD 9700x - Ram 32Gb corsair 6000hz ddr5 - RTX 5070 Ti Asus Prime - Monitor is a Samsung G9 32:9 240Hz with Adaptive Sync and HDR (2 ~ 3 years old) Attached there's a video of the artifact in action. Thank you in advance for any advice. WhatsApp Video 2025-02-25 at 14.30.29.mp4

You asked for clarification on adaptive sync settings and whether your monitor supports them. I checked the details and noted that disabling adaptive sync removed artifacts in the desktop view, so it’s likely turned it back on. For VRR, you mentioned keeping it active only in FullScreen, but results stayed the same when using windowed mode. You didn’t use V-Sync in games, which suggests adaptive sync should handle the sync for you. Your GPU runs on a standard configuration—let me know if you want help checking export settings or further troubleshooting.

Wow, the 5070 Ti is out now—did you already own a GPU before?

It's G-Sync compatible and works in fullscreen mode. This feature seems to be linked to a particular game, as I haven't encountered it in other titles, even those developed by the same studio. What do you mean by configuration? I quickly pressed F5 during launch and managed to add one to my basket and complete checkout while it was active. It swaps out the 4070 model, which feels a bit inadequate given my transition to a 4K screen. I actually aimed for a 5080 but couldn't find it. The 5070 Ti remains a substantial improvement over the 4070.

The entire display is showing instability. To confirm, switch to a different cable. 5120x1440@240hz 10-bit forces DisplayPort 1.4 to its limits while using DSC, making performance sensitive under full load.

I’ll get a replacement and test it, I’m still using the one that came with the monitor—could be the problem. Got any suggestions? I’m not sure at the moment. 2070 Super

From what you mentioned, it doesn't seem like the issue is here when VRR is disabled. Though not the main concern in this discussion, I notice elsewhere a potential fix in the driver for users reporting "black screen" issues. Some graphics cards might also encounter this during a VBIOS update. I checked my 5070 Ti for any updates, but none were found at the moment.

Driver 572.60 is now available. I set it up and entered the game where I noticed comparable flashing effects. After adjusting the settings and visiting a spot that triggers them, it stopped working. Could be worth testing again!
