It keeps the back plate in place with fresh studs for the cooler. I checked the air cooler this morning and got the same outcome. Now I’m worried about a faulty CPU or a damaged motherboard slot. I used a magnifier to examine the pins closely and didn’t spot any bent ones. I’m stuck. I can start the system if I release pressure from the water block or tower cooler, but without it, the CPU LED stays red on my board.
