You may upgrade to the newest version if no other guidelines appear on the site. It looks like you should first switch to F32, then F40, provided the board isn't older than those versions. Only after that can you move to the latest (F50 at this point). If the board is F32, you can proceed with F40 followed by F50. If F40 or higher is already present, you can jump straight to F50.
Flash a BIOS using memory that might damage the device. Update directly in the BIOS. Ensure the reliable working memory is placed first.
