Quick reminder: I’m likely a bit more experienced with computers than someone new. I just bought a ready-made PC (listed specs below) running Windows 11, and it’s been freezing/crashing every hour while I download games from Steam. I thought the problem was with Windows 11, so I switched to Windows 10 where I’ve had fewer issues. The problem keeps happening. Do you have any tips or suggestions I can try? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks ahead!

I note that Windows 10 may encounter problems with 13th generation processors when E cores are enabled, making Windows 11 a better choice if you need multithreaded performance. If not, consider disabling those cores or using an application unaffected by them. Generally, it’s best to contact the seller and ask what steps to take. Persistent crashes after a clean install usually point to hardware issues like insufficient RAM pressure or a faulty motherboard. The manufacturer should replace the defective component.

Support everything @RONOTHAN## has mentioned. If a standard computer is experiencing problems, contacting the manufacturer first would be wise. I’d start by re-seating the RAM before reaching out to them.

I’ll contact IBUYPOWER tomorrow to find out their plans. Regarding multithreaded performance, the only option that comes to mind is escaping Tarkov, though I can verify it uses just physical cores if needed. For overclocking, a 64GB (4x16) RAM setup would likely require a significant boost—let me know if you want specifics!

I'll attempt it this evening; if problems continue, I'll contact the manufacturer tomorrow.

Consider this option since there might have been an issue with the shipment and handling.

I noticed that issue. I covered the shipping padding, but when it arrived, the item wasn’t inside the box.

It's troubling that it wasn't installed.

I did a bit of online research and spoke to some tech-savvy friends. They said e-cores are decent, but they probably won’t make a big impact on the games I play. Thanks for your reply and support!

I have rearranged the RAM modules, but freezing issues persist from time to time.
