Over the past five days I've faced problems linking to the Xbox party chat. When I try to join or someone joins, it keeps insisting on connecting forever. One person I can join works fine when others aren't present, but with others online it loops endlessly. I suspect my network configuration is off—there are two routers set up in bridge mode and my ISP applies NAT. They forward the ports needed for Xbox, but I recently asked them if they made any changes. My Xbox shows the NAT type as open, yet the issue persists, feeling more like a NAT problem. I've reset everything on both devices and followed all troubleshooting steps online. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks.

The Xbox might handle it occasionally. Consider switching to the 2.4GHz channel on your router and testing with mobile data. It’s a good idea to look up the local Xbox status for more details.

I rely on Ethernet. When attempting a Wi-Fi connection, the ports don't forward properly, resulting in a 'nat type strict' message.

No, I don't have an IPv4 address.

I faced some problems earlier, but I didn’t have anything before this one came up.

They claim you're using IPv4, but you might want to verify elsewhere for accuracy.

Review the status here, don’t mention the IP—just see if it shows up

It appears to be IPv4 only, no IPv6 detected.

Have you attempted to restart both routers or avoided using bridge mode?
