You have an old hard drive from your school computer. After wiping everything on it, you started from a DVD with Windows installed. You're seeing this message again—anyone else?

You're asking about what "Installation type" refers to. It seems you're referring to how Windows installs on your system, possibly using a CD. The process involves loading the installation media into the DVD player and starting the setup.

You probably need to save the SATA drivers for that motherboard onto a USB drive. The files might be packaged or in a self-extracting EXE. First, download them to another computer, then check their format. If it's a zip, move the folder there; if it's an EXE, run the program which usually extracts the drivers to a C: drive folder.

You have the choice to upgrade and customize, though I’m not sure if there’s a fourth option.

You should check around the crack to see if it's a window.
