If it's broken, that's another problem to address.

You can download the SATA drivers from the provided link. You don’t need to use a USB drive; simply plug the USB into your computer and boot from it.

It might help if it functioned with your friend's external storage device.

If the DVD is cracked, then we can't help you. There's literally no way to confirm whether the ISO has been tampered with, has install issues, is buggy, broken, etc. You need to find a legit retail or OEM Windows 7 ISO, and install using the product key sticker that should be on the case of your computer.

Open the ZIP file and move its contents to a USB drive. Start Windows 7 from the DVD. If it reports no disk detected, use the browse option and select the USB location. The expected directory is listed below: \Marvell9123-9120_V1001042_XpVistaWin7\Marvell9123&9120_V1001042_XpVistaWin7\Driver\Disk\Floppy64.

I received two CDs with Windows on them, both cracked. Only one triggered the driver notification, while the other functioned normally. I suspect the one that started working now might be damaged or partially broken, possibly expanding files again. It seems the second disc stopped working at some point but was still usable before. It’s possible it’s either a bad crack or just not fully intact.

Truly unthinkable for us to confirm. I strongly advise against using cracked Windows ISO files. Who can say what has been altered during the process? Could any security features be affected? One disc might be an older, incomplete version missing essential drivers, while another is a more recent release. Alternatively, it could be a custom installation with drivers deliberately removed. We simply cannot be certain.
