Problem with Windows 10 displaying a black screen.
Problem with Windows 10 displaying a black screen.
Hey everyone, this is a weird one. Whenever I start up store it starts up perfectly.. no problem at all then I search for an app and then when I click install the screen goes black like it flashes a few times and if in that time I manage to close store it gets fixed but if I don't the computer goes unresponsive. I have to press the reset button in the end. I tried to use windows support but the same thing happens with that app as well. Initially I thought it was the problem with smart screen so I turned it off but the problem is still not fixed. I even reinstalled windows still not working. I am not able to install any app due to this. I think this happens whenever I open an app which needs me to login to my Microsoft Account but I am not sure. Some help will be really appreciated guys. Thank You.
Consider setting up a local account or signing in with another Microsoft profile (make a new user in settings) and attempt to install the app there. If successful, the issue may lie with your existing account. Try a fresh installation if needed—cleanly wiping the disk and reinstalling Windows, or simply removing all partitions and starting over, provided you’re willing to lose any unbacked-up data. If Windows is activated with a digital license, a clean install might reset the activation status. Note: I’m not very familiar with product keys, so this could affect removal. Edit: Avoid clean installation unless necessary; others may have better options. This was revised on November 14, 2018 by Zethex. Some suggestions remain unchanged.**
Ensure both of you complete the reinstallation and clear installations properly. Remove any event viewer entries that might help fix the issue. Avoid re-installing the system. Test by disconnecting one team stick, leaving it alone for verification. Before starting another unnecessary install, review this event viewer carefully.
TBH I have already tried a clean installation of windows didn't work... I think I mentioned this above. Anyways I tried clearing the event log didn't help.. there is no point in making a new account as suggested by the person above you because my windows won't be activated furthermore a local account does not allow you to download something from the store... Here is a recording of what happens when happens and how it happens. EDIT: There is no problem with the RAM I think I took it out and put it back in again... I have only 1 stick of 2GB DDR3 RAM.. if that helps. bandicam 2018-11-14 16-09-18-681.mp4
Are you adjusting your windows in any way? This might involve turning off certain services, modifying registry settings, or using specialized software to restrict access or alter privacy options. Avoid deleting the viewer; instead, consider a fresh installation or a clean setup because it can resolve issues. The Event Viewer is helpful for identifying problems—every error is logged there.
Restart Windows Update, BITS, and Windows Defender Firewall if needed, then verify again. Review the Event Viewer after the freeze to identify the issue.
They were all malfunctioning, and what I told you didn’t fix the issue. I tried launching the Event Viewer, but the output remained unchanged.
Windows Defender Firewall being disabled indicates adjustments were made in your system or through applications that turn off certain features (such as Windows Update or the firewall itself). The Microsoft Store relies on these services to function properly for some reason. Activate these services and launch them all. If you're employing a third-party tool to block updates or the firewall, revert its use with the same application.
I allow them, they disable themselves automatically... I also noticed a few issues with certain DLL files in the system32 folder. I remember accidentally modifying some of them without making backups (IDIOT!), so I think I’ll need to reinstall Windows.
