My Logitech G502 has begun double-clicking irregularly, happening at random times but often. I can open folders with many files and struggle to drag files into emails or Discord without any changes in my actions. The problem appears less frequently on websites that test double clicks. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the G Hub, switched to a different mouse, and even removed the drivers for both devices, yet the issue persists. It seems like something beyond background programs might be interfering. This is really annoying because I rely heavily on sharing files.

Has anyone else encountered similar problems?

Attempt to start in safe mode and verify functionality. Safe mode installs only essential drivers and services. If it continues, proceed with additional actions.

Once I started in safe mode twice and tested with both mice, the problem remains. It seems to happen more often in safe mode compared to normal mode. Very puzzling.

Run msconfig and disable loading startup items.
Choose "Selective Startup," uncheck "Load Startup Items," then click Apply and OK. Restart the system and verify.

The problem remains even after restarting without ticking and applying "load startup items".

Are you a connected mouse? Have you experimented with a different USB port, ideally a rear one from the motherboard, after restarting and checking?

shifted the usb from the hub it was connected to to a back port on the pc, but the problem persists. it appears to happen frequently during startup and gradually decreases once the system is running.

Did you connect the mouse directly to a rear port or link it through the hub to a rear port? Have you attempted this without using any additional software?

I connected it straight to the back of the PC and restarted the machine, but it remained there when I tried to log in again.
