Problem with Realtek drivers installation
Problem with Realtek drivers installation
I just got this new PC but I can't use my headphones because the Realtek driver isn't installed. I've tried installing it several times, but whenever I restart, nothing appears. The only audio available is from Nvidia High Definition Audio in my controllers. I need help.
I'm not familiar with the SupremeFX X-Fi Audio Card, but according to the support page, there are no Windows 10 drivers available. That's also making me confused about that.
What driver did you try to install and where did you get it from?
Do you think it lacks an audio card? If so, what would you recommend doing?
checked the official realtek website and then tried third-party solutions, including the Windows 8 driver provided by ASUS, but no results were obtained.
Are there any colored audio ports on the back of the PC? If yes, it suggests the audio card is installed and you might test with your headphones in the rear ports. If not, checking the manual for your motherboard indicates you should connect the front panel audio connector to the back of the audio card (page 2-37), which may require opening the case. Without colored ports, the audio card isn't installed, and you'd need to buy a sound card (PCI Express x1) to use it.
You might search for "pc audio jacks" and choose relevant images.
