Yesterday we switched to VDSL from ADSL and it improved things a lot. But now the internet often cuts out—sometimes it works, then suddenly the modem turns red and service stops. I've tried restarting the modem, swapping it out, and changing the cable. There are no reported outages nearby. Any advice?

It looks like you're asking about what the ISP has to say. Could you clarify if you want a general response or specific information from them?

you're experiencing a bit of interference on your connection, making it hard for the new speed to work properly. the local provider might send a technician to adjust the modem manually. does this issue affect your own device or just the ISP's setup?

Have you discussed this matter with your Internet Service Provider? Was a completely new modem included when you upgraded to VDSL?

Have you reached out to the individuals who receive your monthly payments for internet service? They may need to visit your premises to verify your connection status. It’s possible that ISPs in your region perform better maintenance on their networks compared to the US. Did your provider supply the modem, or did you purchase it yourself?

We retained the modem we already possessed. We haven't contacted our service provider, but my dad attempted to disconnect our landlines; the one in the kitchen appears to have resolved the problem. Uncertain about the cause.

We haven’t reached out to our service since the upgrade. It might have resolved the issue—maybe we triggered it by unplugging the landline in the kitchen. Uncertain why, but it worked. We purchased the modem from our provider here: https://www.spark.co.nz/shop/internet/sp...art-modem/

The device is producing sound. Verify that the modem is linked to a filter. It appears as a splitter to join the modem and phone on the same port.
