Hello everyone, here’s a summary of my setup: i7-9700k MSI z370 SLI Plus (Mobo) with EVGA RTX 2070 Super FTW3 (overclocked), 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX at 3200MHz RAM, 750W power supply. I’ve noticed some texture glitches in Minecraft where cursor movement creates light trails. The FPS drops noticeably to 40-50 when I don’t tweak Optifine or the Nvidia control panel settings. After reinstalling Minecraft, the issue persists. A screenshot is attached for reference. Could anyone confirm if my hardware truly can sustain around 75 FPS in Minecraft? You're not using Minecraft heavily, but all your shader settings are at default. Have you adjusted anything there? How many chunks are currently active? Do you enable V-Sync or frame rate limiting in Minecraft or Windows? Did Minecraft run smoothly before, and have you made any recent system changes?
I'm experiencing some unusual "tearing" problems with default settings, and there are no shaders or OptiFine installed. I usually cap the frames at 75Hz, but I don't enable V-sync. The issue with your video is that I can't actually see those light trails you referred to. I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking. You seemed to mean the stuttering effect when shifting your viewpoint from left to right? If you’ve already removed Minecraft and reinstalled vanilla, you might try disabling your GPU drivers and using DDU to clear any remaining files. Then reinstall with the newest drivers. It seems the strange lighting issues have been resolved without any driver cleanup. Still struggling to hit the desired frame rate despite having the hardware. I’m getting around 50 fps now and no more artifacts, which is a positive outcome. I’ll keep tweaking the Nvidia Control Panel settings to see if I can boost performance further. Maybe exploring a better power supply could help, as my current 750W seems adequate for my setup.
I also have a 2070 Super, so you should be seeing significantly higher frame rates than that. Make sure v-sync isn't turned on or your frame rate isn't capped in Minecraft (set it to unlimited) or elsewhere like RTSS or the Nvidia control panel. Since your setup is similar to mine, you should experience comparable performance. 50fps is still quite low.

Power cables appear to be secured firmly and correctly. After enabling the top performance mode and adjusting other parameters (which caused screen tearing when v-sync was turned off in NVIDIA settings), I’m achieving around 60-70 frames per second with a new shader pack—Sildurs vibrant shaders extreme volumetric, for example. However, while monitoring my GPU in Task Manager during Minecraft, I saw only about 2GB of the 8GB RAM being utilized. Could this be influencing the performance? Is it restricting how much VRAM Minecraft uses?

I can achieve over 1000fps and keep VRAM usage under 1GB with OptiFine using default settings (no shaders enabled) when starting a new world. With the SEUS shader on, I get about 200fps. That suggests something might be wrong. Your hardware looks better than mine. I'm familiar with V-Sync and tearing issues. I just wanted to test performance by disabling it. I use V-Sync because I dislike screen tearing. Only switch it off during testing.
