I discovered that a beloved player passed away and I wish to replay them in my old Madden 97 game. I attempted to launch it on various machines but faced issues. The latest version loads the first screen before crashing. It runs on a Pentium 4, 2 GB RAM, 1MB VRAM, and a Creative Labs Sound Blaster. 20221223_220539_1.mp4

The other computers typically have specifications such as a mid-range processor, decent RAM, and an average storage capacity. Their performance is generally sufficient for everyday tasks but may lack the power for heavy multitasking or gaming.

there were several configurations:
one had a core 2 duo with 4GB RAM and 32MB VRAM, another was an i7 gen 2 with 8GB RAM and 64MB VRAM, a pentium I with 20MB RAM and 1MB VRAM, a pentium dual-core with 1GB RAM and 16MB VRAM, a core i7 gen 2 with 8GB RAM and 24GB VRAM, and another featuring a pentium D with 2GB RAM and 16MB VRAM.

Vram refers to memory used for graphics processing, not the CPU itself.

I considered using my backup 3070 with the Pentium, but I thought it wouldn’t make much sense.

You're suggesting it's too much. It seems the Pentium might struggle, and your updated system could be causing issues.

The game won't function properly on your latest configuration or the dual 3090 setup featuring a Ryzen 9 5950X and 64GB RAM.
