Hey, I'm having trouble getting this intel server up. It doesn't show up on PCI or d-sub connections. Trying to remove the CMOS didn't help—just makes it beep. I also tried booting from the GPU, but that didn't work either. No boot without a GPU, even when trying bare system mode. The beeps are long and short, followed by pauses. The monitor and cable are fine, tested on another machine.
It had memory problems before (keeps messing up the RAM slots one after another), but I don’t have the manual. It also functioned properly before installing a 3080 chip, which caused it to stop booting, though I didn’t use VGA back then because it usually boots from there (even when IGPN was off).
Typically a computer needs DIMM slot A1 to POST, even servers. If it doesn’t get started, it might mean the slot isn’t working or is faulty. Checking online for the server or motherboard model can help locate the appropriate guide. I recently faced this issue with an old X58 server that stopped responding after a RAM upgrade.
