The issue lies with the HDD. It isn't loading quickly enough to display the content properly. This isn't related to any other components in your system.

I attempted it, but it didn’t assist. I even ended up with lower FPS than 1920x1200, which is my default resolution.

The SSD improves performance slightly, though it still occurs but less severely and with fewer issues.

Next possible fault is the CPU... perhaps attempt a greater overclock or switch to an i7 or similar.

Try to reach a bit more voltage if possible. You probably won’t need to deal with thermal issues on that sandy-bridge CPU.
