the installer seems to be problematic, as shown in the picture. it appears to be a serious issue, similar to what users reported on the official Kali Linux Discord. the problem isn't with the USB installation, which I've confirmed works correctly multiple times and booted into Kali from the live image. i just need to complete the installation now.
What display drivers are you using, and what GPU? disregard, missed where you said installer
It's a laptop, specifically an HP EliteBook featuring an i7 processor or similar, equipped with two cores and four virtual processors, 12 GB DDR3 RAM, and a 500 GB SSD drive.
I haven't used Kali, but testing a Fedora or Ubuntu live environment could reveal similar problems that might assist in identifying the cause. Ventoy could also be useful for this purpose.
You made an error by setting up Kali Linux. For a fresh Linux experience, consider Fedora or Pop!_OS instead. The graphics drivers in Kali’s kernel may not be compatible with your GPU. Could you tell me the exact model of your graphics card?
