It wouldn't be helpful to dismiss someone's preference for a distribution platform.

It seems the graphics drivers for your Kali Linux installation might be corrupted. Are you using the Weekly release? If not, it’s unlikely to cause issues and you could give it another try.

It's a valid concern. You're wondering why I think you might be being underestimated.

It’s not recommended to play games on Kali Linux—it lacks proper optimization for gaming and has limited hardware support. This distribution is designed for penetration testing, with the kernel focused on packet capture instead of gaming performance.

OP mentioned gaming on the machine... You know, graphics drivers serve purposes beyond just games, right? What does "optimized more for packet capture" actually imply? That sounds confusing. All Kali Linux is essentially a distribution packed with built-in security features. Did you check the original image OP shared? The screen appears distorted and the installation screen isn’t visible.

I faced the same problem you did. Consider switching to UEFI with CSM settings. I’m using Kali Purple for data analysis and recently received the Elitebook Revolve 810.

I’m interested in understanding your goals better. Why would you want to install Kali Linux when other distributions suit your needs? You might be exploring security testing or data analysis.
