Problem with Auto Overclock not appearing in Ryzen Master?
Hello, I have the following components: MBD: Gigabyte A620M S2H v1.0, CPU: Ryzen 5 7500F, GPU: RTX 4060, RAM: 16GB Crucial DDR5 4800Mhz. I wish to overclock the CPU because I read it can reach performance close to that of a 7600X and I play CPU-intensive games. I’m facing issues where Ryzen Master doesn’t display the auto overclocking section, and in the BIOS the power boost overdrive option isn’t visible in the AMD overclocking menu. Do you know why this happens?
Hey there,
Your device doesn't support PBO but does work with Precision boost. Is that what you're referring to by auto OC? The clock speeds also vary based on cooling, temperature, and load.
Could you share screenshots of the BIOS main menu?
Ensure Core performance enhancement is set to manual, if available, and display any related sub-options.
Use PBO to enhance its performance, and apply Curve Optimizer with an undervolt setting.
As mentioned earlier, your motherboard doesn't support overclocking.
Focus on cooling and the Curve optimizer will help.
My 5600x didn't overclock at all and remained stable.
After using CO, it now reaches 4.5 to 4.6ghz with all cores boosted at lower voltages and temperatures.
The standard cooler provides limited cooling.
A budget tower cooler can boost performance by 300-400mhz thanks to better temperatures.
Think carefully before making a purchase.
