I attempted to acquire RAM different from the standard four options. While occasional slot failures happen, they’re rare. Could it be that your CPU wasn’t properly seated into its socket and some MoBo pins weren’t making contact? This might indicate a problem where the RAM slots aren’t connecting to the CPU due to missing pin contact.
I've found Asus motherboards to work well, though I often choose ROG high-end models. Gigabyte offers solid value for money, but their support and RGB tools aren't great. MSI is promising, but I haven't used it much—especially their customer service and MysticLight features.
Would this happen regardless of whether the CPU was removed? It’s been here since I received the board, just a year ago.
ASUS examined my board and found the same problem with the RAM I had. They tested with different RAM types, but the issue persisted until all four DIMMs were installed. They also updated my ASUS Prime board, which now works perfectly. I’ve switched to a TUF gaming board now, but I prefer the Prime because it recognizes my RAM model and voltage directly, while the TUF board simply doesn’t know what type of RAM it is.
