It looks like my RAM isn't compatible with XMP/DOCP, though it was operating in dual-channel mode. Regarding storage, I'm using two SSDs in a non-raid setup that are roughly two years old. EDIT: Crystaldisk indicates the drives are functioning well. Updated October 18, 2022 by Asper2988 Adding details

That's unusual. Could you tell me the processor it uses and its specifications, as well as its performance rating?

Sure, just relax, I was a bit concerned at first but then checked it up.

Are you looking for a specific reset? I find it frustrating when Microsoft uses the same word for two different things—like a reset key that acts like a reboot versus reinstalling Windows while keeping your files. It’s unclear what exactly they mean, but they’re likely related. Probably one concept is about resetting settings back to defaults. Checking those options might help. The term “reset” could also revert a setting to its original state. The power button and restart behave differently; the latter forces a reboot instead of the automatic hibernation Microsoft often uses. That distinction might matter too. It might be tempting to try a refresh instead.

I understand, I intended to say reinstalling Windows.

It's not your responsibility. When something happens, the operating system gets updated but your files remain intact. It's likely the OS changed slightly during installation. What was altered wasn't identical to the previous version. Is this related to a gaming platform? Are you using services such as Steam?

It's mostly used for gaming with just Steam, Spotify, and Discord available.

Steam offers a recovery method, which makes backups easier. However, it doesn’t speed up the download process. I have limited knowledge of Spotify and Discord. A fresh installation might be an option. It feels a bit awkward but feasible.
