I'm also curious about the type of motherboard and RAM you'd like. It seems RAM performance is straightforward—higher speeds are better, particularly for non-3D models. A 6000MHz CL30 should work well. Regarding motherboards, most recommendations point to the X670E chipset model, though they can be costly. The B650E option exists but tends to be pricier. I'm unsure if a B650E would function effectively with a 7950X (3D variant), but both support PCIe 5.0 slots (including x16 and M.2), which should help with future compatibility. A Strix B650E-E model is available at a lower price compared to a X670E, especially if you're not seeking major performance gains. If the differences aren't substantial, I'd prefer saving some money. Let me know!
Based on what I've noticed and read, all B650 boards should comfortably support any 7000 CPU unit—just keep an eye on the A720. The top value for performance comes from the B650 Gigabyte Aorus Elite, while B650E models are pricier. PCie5 seems outdated and won't be useful much longer. SSD speeds are limited by typical usage, and most GPUs won't need them beyond about four years. You can check this out.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm reviewing this carefully. I felt I was close to making a choice, but the recent increase in reports about failing Ryzen 7xxx CPUs is causing some concern. Additionally, I've noticed that the memory kit I had set up (which is usually well-supported) has been removed from ASUS QVL—likely because of its 1.4V requirement. In this situation, I might have to wait to see what happens or consider switching to Intel instead.
