I work with Cinebench, IntelBurnTest, and crypto mining tools.
I just tried those... IBT around 75°C (stable), tested C20 right after: ~80°C (stable). Do you think your RAM bottleneck is stopping it from getting too hot? Also, why are you using Gigabyte instead of MSI? (I’m using an Aorus motherboard, so I’m a bit confused.)
RAM likely doesn’t affect CPU temperatures much, probably just helps keep things cooler or prevents overheating. As long as it stays below 80°C, it’s a good sign. Recently, I received my GPU and the issue was resolved—though they took a month without updates to fix a thermal problem. It might have been fixed in about 15 minutes if done right. I had to contact the retailer because their support page didn’t offer an email way to ask about re-pasting, and their site was broken, forcing me to create an account that didn’t work. Plus, I ended up paying a handling fee, which I think should be covered under warranty by Gigabyte.
