It's okay if it gets too warm, just consider getting an aftermarket cooler. Wraith Prism seems to perform well compared to the Hyper 212 Evo based on what I've heard.
Well don't be. Here is a real benchmark video of the R9 3900X. It maintains a temperature no higher than 60C even while overclocking. Don't let the power consumption fool you. As long as your room temperature is decent and you have a PC case whose air flow management is worth the salt of the earth, you should be perfectly fine, even with stock coolers.
Thank you for your response. This benchmark doesn't fully reflect how I use the 3900x in my daily life, especially since I'm based in a tropical area. My reliance is more on multi-threaded work compared to gaming, which depends on single-core performance. Not as intensive as rendering tasks. Check out the Zbrush video I shared earlier.
Indeed ! I just received my 3900x, tested it and under "saturated load" it hardly go over 75c (my record is 77c) and it wave between 50-68 most of the time, thou may be that's because I use 2133 rams... who knows...
