Power issue
Power issue
GOOD MORNING. Progress is coming. It seems my power button stopped working. I tried replacing it and it started, fans are running but no video appears. Now, when I connect the HDMI to the board, the monitor turns on, switches inputs, but no input is detected. I think I need to use the chip set next to get visuals. Correct? I also cleaned it as instructed and left it to dry overnight.
Just to confirm, you're connecting the video cable straight into the graphics card, not through the motherboard? That's a good move forward. If you have a small shop or MicroCenter close by, they might be able to upgrade the BIOS, but it would likely be more expensive than just getting a compatible CPU and handling it yourself.
I don't have my graphics card connected right now. I'm just using the built-in graphics. When the GPU is active, I get the same responses. Cycles then stops once it can't locate it.
So I think it's best to reinstate that bad boy again, sorry. I've been in cybersecurity for too long and my PC side is slipping away.
Just a reminder, you're a lifesaver. The bios were updated. I'm currently installing Windows. Thank you 🙏🏻
