As far as I have tested, this issue only happens on GTA V, and I’ve tried every fix the top of Google search results recommends. Issue: My power randomly went out earlier while gaming and I’ve been struggling to find the root of the cause. My system works perfectly fine up until a random point while I am playing GTA V. After I hit this random point, I either get a “err_gfx_d3d_init” error, which I’ve troubleshooted to the depths of hell. Now, it will crash with a blue screen error, which I haven’t been able to see due to it restarting too fast. It repeats the cycle whenever I make another attempt to play. Like I said, I’ve done everything the Internet recommended. If this is a hardware issue, it’s not a problem as I have some funds set aside for these things. Note: Feel free to explain in PC nerd language, as I am a week or so from having my CompTIA A+ certification, so I will understand the nerd language. SPECS: Ryzen 7900x ASUS ROG B650E-F GeForce RTX 2060 Samsung 970 PRO M.2 SSD Hitachi HDD (not sure of exact specs) Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5 Corsair rm1000e Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE Thanks in advance! The recent Windows update might have damaged some files, causing power loss and crashes. Repairing them could work, but a clean installation would be faster.

That’s the idea I had, but I wasn’t sure if there was a simpler solution. I plan to reinstall later and let you know what happens. I think a new setup might point to a hardware problem. Thanks.
