Possible performance limits at 144Hz and 1080p for gaming
Hi So this is my PC: CPU: i7 4790K Graphics: GTX970 Ram: Corsair vengeance 2133mhz 16GB Storage: Standard 1tb and 500gb SSD Motherboard: MSI Z97A G7 It's nowhere near the top end gaming PC's but I think its a decent build. I got a 144hz screen and I just love to see these sweet smooth 144 frames Thing is, even with quite old games (battlefield 4) I get around 100-110fps on ultra settings What could possibly bottleneck in this setup? Is there a single thing that is bottlenecking it or is it basically all that I can squeeze out of it? Its not a matter of life or death for me to get these 144fps in all games but it would be nice to get it. Would adding another 970 in SLI boost my framerate?
You're running a solid build with an i5 4690K and 970's in SLI, maintaining 144fps. The 4790K remains perfect for gaming, won't cause performance issues.
