Thanks for your feedback. I’m confirming the steps to locate your RAM and evaluating whether upgrading is the right path. I was checking out new options today and noticed a list of Team RAM—possibly the manufacturer behind T-Force RAM? Under the module section, I’m unsure how to identify my specific model since none of the sticks are 2400Hz. If the issue lies with my RAM and it’s not present there, I might need to consider replacing it. I’m torn between spending $200 on premium modules or going for a higher-end 3800Hz option. Your advice was really helpful, thank you!

The module represents the RAM's SKU identifier. If your current RAM SKU isn't listed here, there might be a problem. Consider selecting an alternative that appears on the list. Each section of the part number highlights variations from other kits, even if they're similar. Not all segments mean another part number unless specific parts match exactly. For example, a 3200 MHz 2x8 kit being QVL'd doesn't guarantee a 3200 MHz 2x16 kit will fit unless it's also QVL'd or the numbers are otherwise the same. Certain boards support lower RAM capacities (16GB, 32GB, 64GB), while C14 and C18 designs differ, and some series might have 3600 as too high for stable operation compared to 3200. For instance, my Patriot Viper 4 Blackout PVB432G320C6K DIMMs are available in other variants like RGB, Steel, Elite, etc., each with a distinct heat spreader (PVR, PVB, PVS, etc.). The numbers 432, 416, and 464 indicate DDR4, 32GB, and 16GB respectively. The 3200 or 3600 later in the part number specifies the speed. This applies to Patriot, though other suppliers use different formats. I’m not familiar with TeamGroup or T-Force, but the Patriot kit in my 5900X is well-known; its G320C6K model appears frequently across compatible QVLs, even though a Ballistix kit was found for the 3600X due to limited availability without much hassle. Both versions matched the timing and voltage of the replacement, but the original seemed to function exceptionally well. Edited October 16, 2022 by An0maly_76 Updated with additional details

Your request should work with the new RAM if it matches the list you have. You’re considering Corsair but leaning toward HyperX since they offer more suitable options. Thanks for reaching out!

The documents list items validated for consistent results on that particular board using those processor lines.

It seems like the issue is mostly resolved once you understand QVL. The experience was tough, but it taught me a valuable lesson. I was hesitant to call it solved until the replacement kit was installed and the problems vanished.

Also keep in mind when swapping the RAM: your Asus Tuf B550-PLUS needs specific timings (16-18-18-36) at 1.35V for the PVB432G320C6K I installed. The board’s DOCP picked up incorrect values (20-43-43-43), so I had to turn off DOCP and adjust manually. It wasn’t too tough, but if you need to do it, double-check the sequence and segments—some don’t need a number, others do. Set the DRAM speed in BIOS as well. For details on how to do this properly, here’s a helpful link: https://appuals.com/ram-timings-cas-ras-...explained/ Updated October 16, 2022 by An0maly_76

Sure, I'll wait until the 27th to purchase the RAM so I don't disrupt my mom. I'm planning to use the Corsair Dominator Platinum 3200mhz with two 8GB drives. Once it arrives, I'll let you know and review the specifications. I'm hoping this will solve the issue I've been facing.

These are the sole two 3200 Corsair kits available, and neither includes a 2x8 option. Which SKU will you be ordering? Updated on October 16, 2022 by An0maly_76 Added more details
