I’ve got a solid Wi-Fi plan with 25 Mbps unlimited speed. The issue is that I only notice the connection when I’m in my room. My TP-Link router is named TL-WR840N—do you know if it’s reliable? Suggest ways to boost performance so you can enjoy smooth gaming and other activities.

we don't make that suggestion - change the WiFi channel. separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz. if my signal struggles through many objects, try mounting the router higher or clearing items along the path from the modem to your room.

5GHz remains useful even with modest internet connections. I prefer 5GHz at home, which works well throughout most areas. Only 2.4GHz is needed for specific devices or when I'm far from my access points.

Increasing bandwidth for nearby connections, such as to a NAS, offers significant benefits. Additionally, I’ve noticed that 5GHz provides better stability compared to 2.4GHz within a typical range.

5ghz performs poorly compared to 2.4 in wall penetration, and the problem would worsen with higher frequencies.
