Rocket League is easy to grab. My wife and I spent three hours together on the first day. Edit: You'll need two controllers for two players. It won't let you use the keyboard or mouse, just a controller... kind of boring

This was my initial thought. I haven't come across it before. I'll check it out. Civ might be a bit complicated. Diablo could be a better fit.

civ is straightforward to understand, and she guides you through each round while practicing. my girlfriend picked it up quickly, and even enjoyed playing solo games afterward.
