Hello, I recently upgraded my computer and have been experiencing some unusual problems since then. Most of my games will crash to the desktop or shut down completely. I usually don’t see any errors except for CoD. The two codes from CoD are 0x8007000E and 0x00001338. I’ve run several diagnostics but nothing changed. I checked HWiNFO64 and noticed my CPU getting very hot, so I replaced the cooler with a new thermal paste—it helped lower the temperatures. Still, there are occasional spikes. I’m using Windows 11 Home x64, an Intel i9-14900K at 3.20 GHz, 64 GB RAM, an Nvidia RTX 4080, and a 1000 watt power supply. The BIOS is H.A0 MSI Mag Z790 Tomahawk Max WIFI motherboard. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I checked the diagnostic tools used and their outcomes. The system details are limited, but I have the CPU and motherboard specs. The Windows update is current, and the NVIDIA driver is installed. The cooler model is available if you share it. There isn’t sufficient data yet to pinpoint the exact cause. If the problem is only with COD, it seems to point toward a software issue rather than a hardware fault.

I've checked the Windows Event Viewer, performed a memory diagnostic, and run various command-line checks. I'm using Windows 23H2 with an NVIDIA 551.61 GPU. My LT series 240/360mm liquid cooler is installed. I've experienced crashes across multiple games—CoD, Fortnite, Forza Horizon 5, Balders Gate 3, Oculus Rift S, and Battlefield 5.

I've marked a few contacts who often come up with suggestions when I'm quiet. Do you all have any thoughts? @Mark Kaine @191x7 @8tg @Electronics Wizardy @Somerandomtechyboi

He upgraded from an i9 11900k using a random motherboard and RAM to a 14900k with MSI Mag Z790 Tomahawk Max Wi-Fi card. His system runs a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB SSD fresh install of Windows. He’s using the 360mm variant of the LT720.

I've completed the installation, checked game caches and file integrity. I tried running DDU with the latest Nvidia driver, but it seems the most recent one is already installed. Should I be using a specific Nvidia driver for this model? My Gigabyte Aorus Master RTX 4080 works fine—no BSOD and no critical errors in Event Viewer, just crashes to desktop or freezes without issues.

Review C:Windows\LiveKernelEvents. Bring any dump files here or in the subfolders back to C:\Windows, copy the whole directory to another place (Desktop works if you don’t use OneDrive), compress it and share it. The second spot for crash logs is in Appdata—press Windows key + R, type "%localappdata%" and look at the CrashDumps folder. Follow the same steps as before. If any files are too big for the forums, consider using a file host.

The LiveKernalEvents folder was empty, but I have dump files and crash reports. Here’s a link to my Mega File with the requested documents: https://mega.nz/folder/sW91lRbL#KvDIbHh-grfd1kaNGN4a7A
