It seems it works well with your 7950 at higher settings, but performance drops to around 33–38fps near Town or Outpost.

1.4 is removed, I'm curious if it resolved the USB issue for users

He has no valid excuse not to believe him, since his reviews suggest you should too. When he mentions "your mileage may vary," he doesn’t run tests, and isn’t a tech expert—just pushes it hard and shows your FPS results.

Did I express doubt about him because I think he’s trying to deceive me? No. My concern comes from the fact that he isn’t a tech expert. As seen in the previous comment with the attached video, there are times he seems uncertain about his topics. There’s no scene where a massive character runs at 120fps in that game. His performance stats are definitely inconsistent, and while some systems perform differently, certain graphics cards have clear limitations.

Maybe he just had AA or something unnoticed, which boosted his performance, or the tessellation was off (you can check the settings if you want).

It's a really strange video. He checks the settings first and turns on SSAA at high. The only part not fully maximized is anisotropic filtering, which is set to 4x but doesn't impact frame rate.

He might have missed applying the settings he mentioned earlier, using something less than what he claimed. It seems inconsistent with his usual behavior, as it feels out of character for him to avoid fully sharing the truth. If he were showing a game at high settings and claiming 120fps, that would be what he’d say. His recent updates have been quite reliable, though maybe just one unusual case. Before the day 1 patches and official drivers, he likely played Assassin’s Creed.

Yeah, I did too. After that, I kept playing again. They didn’t do anything. That’s why I realized not to buy that garbage. I think he played on v1.02, and I remember him complaining about the patch doing nothing—maybe it was one of his podcast comments.

He was complaining about how tough the Hinterlands in DAI are. My single 970 handles it well and it moves smoothly there.
