Check for CPU limitations again. Here’s a summary of one of my earlier articles: Launch Windows Task Manager (you can find it in the Start menu or by pressing CTRL-ALT-DELETE and opening it from the security screen). Once you’re in, check the performance section. If any of your CPU cores reach 100% during gameplay, especially in Fortnite, that indicates a bottleneck (I call it that for fun). If all cores are at 100%, it means you have a full limitation. (It’s actually more complex, but I’ll leave it to you.) Also, look at RAM usage and disable the page file. In the processes tab, see what applications are running alongside BF4.exe. Notice how much CPU time each one consumes. If BF4 is using 70% of your CPU while your system is at 90%, that suggests other programs are taking up most of the processing power. Cleaning up unnecessary software—like outdated security tools or unused OS components—can help improve performance. If you need higher frame rates, try closing background applications or updating your PC’s operating system to remove lingering issues. Using services like Teamspeak with voice encryption can reduce CPU load, while Skype is outdated and may not be worth the risk. Restarting or rebooting can resolve temporary glitches.

I understand exactly what you mentioned earlier and the chart I shared—it shows the CPU around 85% utilization while BF4 consumes roughly 75%. The unusual part is that both CPU and GPU signals decrease when the game lags, indicating it's not a CPU or GPU limitation. RAM usage stays between about 2.9 to 3.2 if I'm not running background tasks, which is quite unexpected since such usage should increase during gameplay. Given my experience with system setup and hardware, I know what performance levels these components should reach. But in this case, it just doesn’t perform well enough. That’s why I started this thread—I tested the beta version on a Pentium G860 with a GTX 260 and 4 GB RAM. It ran at around 25-35 FPS and didn’t lag, but it wasn’t smooth at all—it just didn’t meet expectations.

Stutter shows a RAM limitation. Install another 4GB module, it should resolve the issue. (Cost is about 30€.)

The game played smoothly despite the cold January day, especially after upgrading to more memory and a faster drive. In summer, it ran effortlessly under similar conditions.

I don't understand CPUs, but 560Ti isn't close enough to handle 1080p high settings. I'm using the same card and it's running smoothly at 70fps with a low-medium mix in 1080p. Reduced graphics give you more consistent performance than intense visuals. The 4GB memory is clearly limiting. BF4 requires at least 6GB for smooth operation. I think the 4GB figure is the minimum needed so you can achieve decent frames even with minimal graphics. Regarding overall lag, the latest update caused problems where the pagefile was used excessively, leading to random FPS drops. This issue was resolved by restarting the PC before playing.

The latest update messed with the frame rate in the game once more... added stuttering, rubberbanding, packet loss... and so on. Great DICE, moving forward two while regressing ten.

I also experience complete temporary freezes. When Kaspersky switches to Sherlock mode, it acts like a temporary no FPS freeze before resuming at 75 fps/hz master race sync.
