I recently purchased Minecraft after noticing a new major update. When I started playing, the game seemed to run very slowly—about one frame every 4 to 5 seconds. My monitor stats showed a frame rate between 350 and 999 FPS. I attempted to lower the settings, but it was extremely tough because the game felt so sluggish at that speed. I’m not sure how to fix this. Any advice would be appreciated.

1. The current configuration is being used.
2. Other applications were active at the time.
3. No driver updates for java have been applied.

The speed of 2 FPS is unattainable since it's only slightly, if any, detectable.

Additionally consider this guide on allocating extra RAM for Minecraft.

Recent updates include the latest drivers and version 65. I mentioned attempting to lower the settings. Chunk loading stands at 5. I plan to allocate additional RAM.

Ensure all drivers are compatible with either 64-bit or 32-bit depending on your system requirements.
