I accessed the app via a direct right-click cast to the large TV, but it launched the Windows Media Player where I can't scroll through the movie. It keeps restarting. Do you have another simpler method?
Plex offers the simplest experience. You can navigate through the film to a certain degree. I mean it partially because it depends on the client's settings on buffering. In practice, you often have to wait until the client adds more buffer before watching.
I work with an Amazon Fire Stick, while my parents use Roku sticks. I usually set up the server app on a device and configure the necessary libraries. I’d like to note that hardware transcoding and Live TV are handled through Plex Pass. If you run this on your gaming PC, be careful not to transcode a stream during gameplay.
