Hello everyone, I need to share that my family wants to watch a movie, but I don’t want to spend hours loading it onto a USB stick. Can I stream it using the internet via a cable? I’m not sure if this will keep the quality like a Blu-ray disc. My PC and TV are connected to the modem through a cable, and I have a custom desktop PC. The TV is an LG OLED 55-inch. Thanks!

You can install a Plex server on your machine. You can also use tools like VLC to handle tasks such as streaming directly from the disk.

You could simply transfer the PC to the TV and link it using an HDMI cable. It seems like a quick solution for you.

I highly suggest using Plex. It runs quietly on your PC and lets you watch anywhere—TV, phone, or tablet—using the Plex app.

Ensure your smart TV supports app installation and locate a media player app. Direct the app to the computer’s network share containing the video files. VLC is straightforward to set up on any FireTV system; the process should be comparable for Roku, though I haven’t used it much recently.
