You should install DS4Windows if you want to use Steam Big Picture. Otherwise, you can start with Steam Big Picture and later upgrade to DS4Windows for better performance.

Get the dualshock 4 wireless dongle, it should connect and start working right away! It also functions with a micro USB cable.

If you skip the wireless dongle, you won’t need to download DS4Windows. You can still connect your PS4 controller directly through Steam, but it might not work smoothly without the dongle.
