He might choose this method to explore more than just flat visuals or familiar franchises like the DMC series, Bayonetta, or certain games.

All the titles! Most of the time I use a controller, except for retro or strategy games. I don’t get why some folks think shooting games are bad when they’re just using a gamepad. With a bit of practice it’s actually quite simple. If you’re not comfortable aiming with a stick, go for action games like Devil May Cry or medieval fantasy ones such as The Witcher 3 or 2. Survival horror games are also solid choices because aiming is meant to be challenging. RE4 is a great pick—it’s fun, not overly difficult, and it doesn’t feel too scary, though it’s really exciting. I just tried Duke Nukem 3D World Tour with a controller for the first time. It was a big TV experience, and those aliens popping up on my ride were intense!

I tried spec ops on my PC using a controller—it was incredible. The experience was tight with great graphics, matching the performance of a console release. You can still use the mouse and keyboard, though the controls were built for a controller. Edit: OP, try playing the metro series redux with a controller.

I tried it with KBM and everything worked perfectly. Playing a shooter with a controller feels off for me—it changes the whole vibe.

It was a relaxed experience I had. The assistance helped a lot, so I felt free to play. I enjoyed the story and the gameplay, making it enjoyable. I wouldn’t suggest Counter-Strike but think Spec Ops is great for solo fun. Avoid online games with controllers—stick to single-player or co-op options.
