I've been testing some GTA and found it running much slower than expected. Even after tweaking settings and bringing everything back to normal, I keep seeing big frame drops and stuttering. Most people with the same setup seem to be fine, so I'm really curious about what's going on. My system specs are: CPU i5-2320, motherboard Biostar TZ77B, 8GB Corsair XSM3 memory, GTX 970, 2TB storage, Corsair HX850 power supply, 23.5-inch LED monitor, Hyper 212 cooling, K70/m95 keyboard/mouse, and a Vengeance headset.

Many users are facing similar issues. RAM performance stays under 3.5GB? Disable VSync? Switch off MSAA? Check if your card and CPU are operating at full capacity? Ensure clock speed matches specifications.

From a quick look, it might seem like a bottleneck, though I might be mistaken.

You're utilizing a lot of VRAM at full performance, far exceeding your 3.5 VRAM cap, and you've slightly boosted your graphics card.

Uses around 6GB of RAM is typical, but VSync doesn’t seem to make a difference either way. MSAA has been completely disabled for the whole time. From what I understand, CPU and GPU aren’t reaching their full capacity. Edited April 21, 2015 by TheGreatCommunicator

I've used NVIDIA drivers before and also had experience with GeForce and Steam. Now I'm trying without them.

Surprisingly, your processor might lag compared to others. The suggested choice is the i5-3570, while yours runs a model slightly slower.

Disable the advanced graphics options—they’re unnecessary and slow down performance significantly. Aim for a maximum of 4x resolution if possible. Let us know your current graphics configuration so we can assist further.

I've adjusted the advanced settings fully. The issue was with MSAA 8x or something similar. I have screenshots showing 45-75 fps. The previous explanation was incorrect.
