It's typical for a Ryzen 5000 CPU to reach temperatures as high as 95°C, explains AMD. Robert Hallock from AMD has explained that reaching up to 90°C for the more powerful Zen 3 Ryzen 7 and 9 models is normal and expected during full load. According to his statement: "Yes, I want to be clear with everyone that AMD considers temperatures up to 90°C (5800X/5900X/5950X) and 95°C (5600X) as standard and intentional for peak performance. Supporting those limits in the chip and firmware enables the CPU to achieve greater and sustained boost speeds before thermal constraints intervene." Using a superior cooler can improve both boost and idle performance. For optimal idle and low-power settings, refer to this guide—it helped my 5800X reach around 35°C at idle and games under 60°C on an EK-AIO 120 D-RGB.

Interestingly, I accidentally cranked up my CPU on the day I bought it, and it showed more than a 2°C boost for the performance XD
