Another person got the same cooler, but some plastic remained after applying the paste. I’m not sure this is the main problem since it seems like a one-time issue. Maybe checking how the paste is spread or confirming the mounting is correct would help. Even though my friend’s CPU failed and they swapped it out, that doesn’t seem relevant here.
I've reattached the cooler and ran cinabench again. The maximum CPU temperature is now 85°C. It was previously reaching 100°C, so it seems the problem was related to the mounting. I'm planning to add exhaust fans to maximize cooling, especially since this build was expensive with a high-end CPU and GPU. My scores on cinabench were 7515—unsure if that's satisfactory, but I hope these temperatures are safe for gaming. Thanks!
