The issue is probably because the DIMM operates at 2133 MT/s. It’s better to enable XMP/DOCP and adjust it to 3000 MT/s instead of attempting an upgrade.

3000mhz cl16 works well for Rey Zen, expect about a 5-10fps boost. You can also adjust it manually with the thaiphoon and dram calculator.

I activated DOCP and saw a slight improvement in RAM speed—about 10%—but my CPU actually slowed down. The latest test showed poor performance on CPU-Z, even with the RAM clock at 1500MHz.

You're wondering if RAM isn't the main issue here. Could something else be affecting your performance? I'm avoiding any changes right now, even though this RAM is outdated, because I don't want to cause further problems.

This indicates XMP is enabled, which can slightly raise monitor temperatures under heavy load. Check the GPU drivers and reinstall them if needed.

DDR refers to Double Data Rate technology. At 3000MHz it equals 1500MHz.

In optimal conditions, it can reach up to 4.4GHz. To hit those higher speeds, a high-end cooling solution might be necessary, as overheating reduces its potential.

It could be that your Ryzen doesn't see the benchmark as strong enough to provide extra power. The edit suggests the system appears fine but isn't performing well on the test.
